再多一个月就是圣诞节和新年了，又到了出去游玩的最佳时间，大家有想过去哪玩吗？如果出去玩，用英语怎么说呢？大家可以回想一下，是不是都用过“I like to go out and play···”这个句式呢？其实这个是错的，大家又是否知道呢？让小编解释给大家听吧！
其实这里的“Go out”就已经有“外出娱乐”、“参加社交活动”的意思了，如果想说“我和朋友出去玩得痛快”要怎么说呢？“玩得痛快”可以用“Enjoy ourselves”或只用“Enjoy”，说成“I go out with my friends and enjoy ourselves”或“I go out and enjoy with my friends”。香港有个综艺节目叫“欢乐今宵”，用英语说就是“Enjoy yourselves tonight”。
其实我们说去一个地方开心的玩，我们也可以用“Enjoy”这个词。比如说“我将去美国玩个痛快”，就是“I am going to America and enjoy myself”。英文中有一句习惯用语，解释为“玩的开心”、“玩得痛快”，就是“Have a good time”。所以也可以说“I am going to America to have a good time”。
其实“Fun”这个词也可以用来表示“玩的开心”，比如：
“The children were having a lot of fun making sand castle on the beach”
“那些儿童在沙滩上砌沙堆城堡，玩得很开心”
“We are sure to have great fun at the party tonight”
“今晚的舞会我们必定会玩得很开心”
“Play”在中文的解释是“玩”，但是不要记着中文的“玩”就是英文的“Play”。比如“玩游戏”可以说是“Play a game”，“玩乐器”可以说“Play a musical instrument”，“玩纸牌”可以说“Play cards”。但是前面说的“出去玩”是“参加社交活动”、“外出娱乐”。
“Play”通常是指小孩子或动物玩耍，形容成年人闹着要玩的情况不多。比如“These men play in the garden every morning”就不大对了；如果说“These boys play in the garden every morning”就可以。但如果一定形容一般成年人的话，便应该用前面的“Enjoy themselves”，说成“These men enjoyed themselves in the garden every morning”。
再来看看“Play with”的问题，相信很多人都喜欢用“Play with”这个搭配，但是“Play with”有玩弄的意思，容易引起别人误解。像这一句“The little girl is playing with her kitten”可以是“那个小姑娘正在玩她的小猫”，也可以是“那个小姑娘正在和她的小猫玩”，第一句的“玩”就是“玩弄”的意思了。
再比如“那只猫正在玩球”就是“The cat is playing with a ball”，不可以说“The cat is playing a ball”。同样，“那男孩子正在玩他的玩具火车”，就是“The boy is playing with his toy train”，而不是“The boy is playing his toy train”。再比如，我们觉得烦闷、无聊或者紧张，也会玩一些东西。比如，有些人有时坐着会玩笔，可以说“Play with a pen”。
我们有时会给人玩弄，就是用“Play with”。比如：“Don't play with me”“别耍我了”。“男人玩弄女人的感情是不对的”就是“It is wrong for a man to play with a woman's affections”。中国有句成语“玩火自焚”，用英文可以说“Whoever plays with fire will get burnt”。有些人常常“玩弄文字”，可以说“Play with words”。
我们可以再比较一下中英文，比如以下这些词组都用到“Play”，但是译成中文却都不一样。“Play the piano”、“Play the violin”、“Play the flute”，中文分别是“弹钢琴”、“拉小提琴”、“吹笛子”；“Play football”、“Play basketball”分别是“踢足球”、“打篮球”。
